This is the all new online multiplayer game from the people that brought you super tennis and super football.
For those of you that have no idea of what beach volleyball is then here's a brief description.
Beach volleyball is a game played by 2 teams of 2 players. It is played on a court like tennis; however, the net is set a lot higher than in tennis. Unlike tennis the players return the ball with their hands rather than a racket or bat. The idea is to stop the ball, which is just a bit smaller than a football, from touching the ground.
In this version of beach volleyball, you are in control of 2 players. 1 on the left side of the court and 1 on the right. I will not go in to the details of the keys in this review as I feel that it would be more advisable to read the excellent instruction files provided with this game.
You get to choose between either playing against a computer player or over the internet against friends. In the computer player option you have 5 difficulty levels. Unlike super tennis where the harder the level the more balls you get coming at you, beach volleyball just gets faster.
When playing online you don't have a difficulty level, but having played it for a while now that's probably just as well as the game play can get very intense.
Vip games zone have done a very good job of the backgrounds sounds for this game and it gives you a really good feel of being by the sea. The voices they use for the menus are excellent real voices like those on the new jaws 8.
Finally, for around £25 you get this game plus funny bowling. I feel that this is very good value for 2 excellent online games.

This game was a long time in the making, Its a four key adventure from the makers of Grizzly Gulch. The instructions are clear and easy to understand you can save at any time and then go right back to the game if you want. its an interactive adventure game and the object of the game is to find your friend Lilly who has sent you a letter asking for help as she is in danger.
The sound effects are very good and some are quite creepy.
You arrive in Chillingham in the middle of the night, You find yourself in the village square, if you arrow right you will hear 5 options, " inspect, take, use, talk and go "
Inspect, you have an inventory of the things you are carrying and all the items in your location. you need to inspect everything and when you come across a "there's a" take it, it will be useful.
Take, use this to pick up things you might use.
Use, you can use an item from your inventory with something in your location,
Talk, talk to everyone you meat more than once.
Go, from the village square there are shops Lilly's house a church, and a road leading out of the village.
You will find yourself going back to places you have already visited before but this is all part of the game.
There are quite a few puzzles to think about and its worth trying out anything as this is pure fiction anything might happen.
The people you meet are all a little strange and stand offish, its no wonder Lilly wanted a friend around. When you leave the village you will come in contact with vampires werewolves and witches so look for weapons to fight them off with this, will take a bit of time and work on your part.
The game is fun and the puzzles can leave you spitting feathers till you work them out, a cassette recorder will be handy unless you have a good ear for music. The only criticism I have with the game is that it was not till I got to where I thought the game was really getting started that I was shocked to hear that part 2 of Chillingham would be coming soon.
Chillingham has a lot of good points and a lot of work went into the making, but once you have completed it you are not inclined to go back and start again, in my opinion. Grizzly Gulch for me is still a game I go back to time after time.
Part 2 of Chillingham I have been told should be out in November.

This is a game from the Accessible Games site based at www.gamesfortheblind.com
This game does not require a screen reader to run it as it comes complete
with a copy of the eloquence software. There is a 15 day demo version
that you can download in order to evaluate it, but after 15 days the game will
lock you out until you purchase it.
It is a game based on the solo
card game of patience, you start with a board with 13 free slots, the first
card is dealt to you by the game, this is a base card and determines the suit
that will be played into all the free slots, for example you may be dealt the
ten of hearts, therefore the base suit for all the available slots is hearts,
you press return to place the card in the ten slot on the board, the game then
deals you another card, say this is the five of clubs, you would not be able
to play this card as it is not a ten or a heart, if you were dealt the ten of
clubs you would be able to play it as patients is based on the idea of placing
a card of the opposite colour on a card already played, therefore in this example
you place red cards as the base suit and place black cards on top, it doesn't
matter if the black suit is clubs or spades, as long as it is not red.
There
are quick navigation commands so that you are able to determine what card is
in the slot of a card dealt to you, say you have been dealt the five of hearts
and you want to see if the five slot is empty or if you have played a card into
it and what card it is, this serves to make the game much faster than it would
be. The cards you cannot use are discarded on what is called the waste
pile, these are the cards that are reshuffled when you cannot place them all
in one go, I have played this game quite a few times and have not been able
to do it in one shuffle. The game has several levels of play, giving you
4, 3 or 2 shuffles of the pack to play all your cards into the correct slots.
This explanation makes the game sound more complicated than it is, the trouble with explaining the method of play is that patience is a difficult game to describe as it has so many versions, the "read me" file says this itself, but the game does need to be explained, you will also find that the game will tell you if you can play a card or not so things will become clear with practice.
Accessible Games have built in some very good sounds to represent dealing cards, putting them into slots and shuffling, the game costs 20 dollars, around the £14.00 mark, it is the sort of game once you have learnt it you can go away from it for a while and come back still knowing what you are doing, once learnt, never forgotten.

Overview
In my opinion the
blind community has waited a long time for this very accessible game. Freedom Millionaire is an accessible version
of the popular game of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. The game is in demo mode at the moment so is free to try out, you
can obtain it from:-
http://www.themillionweb.com/games/
This game is still being perfected and they are very pleased to get feedback to improve the usability. The game is easy to install and you can start playing straight away, enter the game and choose from several sets of questions, this gives a slightly different angle to the original game and allows you to choose a subject you are interested in and perfect your knowledge of it. I have been trying to win with the questions on Wizard of ozz, I will probably be an expert on the film before I manage to get the million. You still have the usual options of ask the audience, phone a friend and 50/50 and are given the results in a clear manner.
Game Play
When you enter the game you are given the option of several sets of questions and need to choose one, once this is done the game begins. The first question is read out to you automatically, but if you want it repeated it is easy to do this. You are given the 4 options to choose from, tab to each option and if you think you know the answer choose it, if you need to use one of the life lines, tab until you reach the one you need and choose it, you will be asked in either case if you are sure you want to do this, say yes if you do and with the life lines you will be presented with the results and with the answer choice the result will be reported to you. If the answer is correct a dialogue box will ask you to continue, When the game is over you will receive a message telling you how you did and eventually you will be asked if you wish to play again. The game contains very good audio cues allowing you to know immediately how you did when finally answering a question.
This is a very accessible game and has provided many people hours of pleasure and it isn’t even at the final stage yet. Hope you enjoy it! Goldleaf. Click here to email me!
