A GENTLE MAN

For Geoff, our “Mister Big”

By Gladys Taylor

The warmest welcome that I ever heard
Floated down the phone.
You spoke in smiling welcome, every word
Assured me I was not alone.

Help was now at hand.
A band of brothers, introduced by you,
Were there, to help,
To see me through.

Before tafn, I was lost.
To you, there was no cost,
No Measuring Your time,
your energy and love.

You are our “Mister Big”,
An angel, now at home
In a greater network.
Yet the time has come
To say goodbye, for a while.

We’ll carry that sweet joy
which  flowed out from your smile,
and thank those lucky stars
that we met a gentle man who would go that extra mile,
loving and giving right to the end.

That was you Geoff, our

Unforgettable,

Accessible Friend.
