Win Golf is a pc game that was written by Jim Kitchen specifically for blind players. There is no visual content to the game at all and therefore you can play against your sighted friends and feel assured that they are not gaining any advantage. The game uses sound effects and sapi 5 speech to enable you to enjoy the full golfing experience. With over 250 courses built in to the program and the ability to create your own this game will provide you with hours of fun.
Although originally designed as a single player game, it is possible to play against others simply by all players playing on the same course in their own program and using either the communicator or skype or another voice program so that everyone can hear each other's play.

To instal the program first download the file using the above link.
Once the program has downloaded run it and use the unzip button to extract all the necessary program files to your computer.
Next navigate to the program directory which will be c:\program files\kitchensinc if you accepted the default during the unzip process and find the file called golf.exe.
Press control C to copy it and then windows D to return to your desktop.
Press control spacebar to make sure nothing is selected then use your application key and from the menu that appears find the paste shortcut command and hit enter on it.
You will now be able to run the golf program from your desktop.

Jim Kitchen has released a couple of addon packs containing new courses both of which can be downloaded here. To install these packs activate the desired link below and when prompted choose the run button. You may have to activate another run button after that to. Then when the program runs and asks you were you want to unzip the files to make sure the path matches the place where you installed the game and hit enter to put the new courses in your folder. all done.
Download March 2008 Add On pack (6 course). This addon pack contains six new courses. These courses are Deer Lake rating 67, harry potter country club rating 61, joeburg country club rating 75, pacific putters paradise rating 43, Spring Fever Links rating 64 and Thunder Nationals rating 75.
Download April 2008 Add On PAck (25 courses). This addon pack contains 25 new courses.
