Item 8: Lillian Stubbs featured in a Bolton News video, as part of this year's Guide Dog celebrations!

TAFN member Lillian Stubbs was the star of an online video in The Bolton News, published on 12th October 2006, along with her guide dog Nadia.  Following the link below there is a description of the video clip.

Watch and/or listen the Video (Opens in new browser window, requires Windows Media Player)

"The video runs simultaneously with the spoken narrative.  Firstly it shows the Guide Dogs service at Bolton Parish Church, where several labradors are seen looking out from the pews!  It then cuts to a scene of our Lillian with guide dog Nadia walking along the road.  They go indoors where Lillian is sitting down with Nadia, giving her a good pat and making a fuss of her (Nadia is shown with various toys in her mouth!).  Then the scene cuts to outside again & shows the pair walking along, crossing a road and successfully navigating between cars parked half-on-the-pavement one side, and overgrown hedges the other.  Next the pair go into a chippie!  On the way back Nadia handles road crossing superbly, sitting down patiently while vehicles go past before crossing safely.  Then Lastly at the end of the scene the pair are back home and this time Nadia is making a fuss of Lillian, with a classic lick-attack."  (description by Leon Gilbert)
