Rules for Friday Quiz night's. Search engines, are strictly forbidden. Any player found braking this rule will be asked to leave the quiz. Round 1, General knowledge: This is a round of general knowledge, where a correct answer will gain 5 points, if passed or an incorrect answer is given, it will be passed to the next person in line, for a gain of 3 points, and if still wrong or cannot be answered, then we will use the random number generator. The person who has the appropriate number will then gain the bonus on offer if correct, or the points will be carried over to the next question, via our pot system. Round 2, All new Trivia: This is an all new Trivia round: As from March, 2008, you will be able to choose your own category, from: Geography (Blue) Entertainment (Pink) History (Yellow) Art and Literature (Brown) Science and Nature (Green) Sport and Leisure (Orange) And either, Easy for 5 points, Medium for 10 points, or Hard for 15 points. Or you can roll two dice, one with colours, and the other with numbers 1 thru 6, for double the points. 1 and 2 equal easy, 3 and 4 equal Medium and 5 and 6 equal Hard. Round 3, The guess the age round, Each week, we will read out 5 well known peoples names, and all you need to do is guess their age. A correct age is worth 5 points, if you are within 5 years over or under, then that is worth 3 points, and if you are within 10 years again over or under we will give you 1 point for each answer. If you have all five in the same group, I.E correct, within 5 years or within 10 years, then you will get a bonus of the same points. Round 4: This is a relatively simple general knowledge round, where you will be given a question for 10 points, and if answered correctly, a second question worth five points, but like the previous rounds, if an incorrect answer is given on the first question, we will use the generator, for a bonus of 5. and an incorrect answer on the second question will go to the generator, for a bonus of 3. Round 5, All or nothing round: This is another general knowledge round, but this time, you play with points already gained in previous rounds, you will be told how many points you are able to choose from, but you can only play with a maximum of 20 points. I will give you 4 points for each of your points you play with, as long as you give me a correct answer. If you give an incorrect answer, your points are deducted from your score, and these same points are offered to the next person, usually obtained via the random number indicator. If this person gets the answer wrong, they lose nothing, and half the points are added to the pot, and again this is offered to the next person via the indicator, again if this person is wrong no penalty is paid, but in both cases if a correct answer is given they win the points on offer. In addition to the above, we give you a Joker each month, this can only be used in round 1, and this will give you 30 points if you give the correct answer. Many thanks for reading, and Chris and Teresa hope to see you on Friday night, at around 20:00 in the Friday nights quiz Room on the communicator.
