- Launch Windows live mail.
- Press and hold down the ALT key followed by F.
- Press the letter O, followed by the letter E.
- Press the TAB key once you will hear add button. Press the space bar.
- Press the TAB key once you will hear next button. Press the space bar.
- Type in your TAFN email address. For example john.smith@tafn.org.uk.
- Press the TAB key twice. Type in or copy and paste your TAFN mailbox password. Be sure to enter the password given to you for your new email account.
- Press the TAB key once. If the remember password checkbox is not already checked, press the space bar to check this box.
- Press the TAB key once.
- Type in your name. For example John Smith.
- Press enter.
- Windows live mail will now take a few seconds to try and detect your email settings.
- Press Shift tab to “Manually configure server settings”.
- Press Space bar to check this box.
- Press tab to the next button and press the space bar.
- Press the TAB key once.
- Press the arrow down key once to select IMAP.
- Press the tab key once . You will hear incoming server address.
- Type in or copy and paste the following:
- mail.tafn.org.uk
- Press the TAB key once until you hear incoming port.
- press CTRL A, followed by the backspace key.
- Enter 993 into this box.
- Press the TAB key once, then Press the space bar to check the box saying, Requires a ssl connection.
- Press the TAB key twice. It should speak user name.
- Enter in your full email address For example john.smith@tafn.org.uk.
- Press the TAB key once . You will hear outgoing server address.
- Type in or copy and paste the following:
- mail.tafn.org.uk
- Press the TAB key once until you hear, outgoing port.
- press CTRL with A, followed by the backspace key.
- Enter 465 in this box.
- Press the TAB key once, then Press the space bar to check Requires a ssl connection.
- Press the TAB key once, then Press the space bar to check my server Requires authentication.
- Press tab to the next button and press the space bar.
- Press tab to the finish button and press the space bar.
You have now successfully configured Windows live mail to send and receive messages from your new mailbox. You will find a welcome message in your new in box, which is displayed below your existing mail account.
