There is no need to peel or spend time scraping new potatoes, simply wash them well, rubbing them between your fingers in a bowl of
water to remove any dirt first, then rinse them in clean water.
Boil until tender, drain into a colander, let them cool slightly by which time, if you
really don’t like the flavour of the very fine skin, you can just rub it off
with your fingers, it really is as easy as that.
